STEPHEN HYLAND ASLA
Steve is a Registered
Landscape Architect and a member of the American Society of Landscape
Architects. A graduate of the
University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1976, Steve has been with The Hawks
Nursery Company since 1983. As
a senior member of the staff, Steve has been successful in developing
creative and innovative landscape solutions for homeowners as well as
commercial clients. He has
been responsible for the design and supervision of all types and phases of
landscaping
GARY URBAN ASLA
With Hawks since
1992, Gary is a registered Landscape Architect and the design/sales
manager for the department. A
graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a member of the
American Society of Landscape Architects, Gary is knowledgeable in all
areas of residential and commercial design and installation.
His interests are in the area of lake property, low maintenance and
natural landscape projects as well as patio and masonry features in the
garden. “There is at least
one solution for every landscape problem, the challenge and excitement of
design is finding that solution.”
JUDY CURRY
Judy is a Landscape Designer and
has been with Hawks since 2002. She has been working in the Landscape industry
since 1989 and is knowledgeable in all aspects of
residential design and installation. Judy focuses on listening to
the needs and desires of her clients, allowing her to create a design
that best reflects the personality of the homeowner.
CYNTHIA SCHULTZ
Since 1997 Cindy has
been helping Hawks customers achieve their landscape goals. She enjoys the challenge of taking an
existing landscape and creating a dynamic living space that is best suited to
the clients wishes. She
incorporates art and accessories that reflect the homeowners style and
personality.
EVA CULLEN

Let's
give back a little of the beauty nature has given us with landscape
design. Eva Cullen joined the Hawks Design team in the summer of 2005.
She graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003.
Her experience includes residential design and installation,
zoological, botanical, state park, high-end residential, and sustainable
design work.
Her passion is to create inspiring and unique spaces that will not
only satisfy the needs of the client, but create a lasting emotional impact.
ANDREA J. ORLOWSKI
A.J. has been in the landscape industry
since 1996. With a degree in Landscape Horticulture, A.J. focuses on designing landscapes that are low maintenance
yet high impact - which she feels is best achieved by providing an
ever-changing palette of color through the season. A.J. enjoys approaching
each project as a unique opportunity to create an intimate space that is
meaningful to the client.
GREG THOME
Greg
has been in the landscape industry since 1993, designing residential and
commercial landscapes throughout Wisconsin, in the Chicago area and San
Diego California. He enjoys creating innovative, personal outdoor
living space including water features and statuary that fit his client's
personalities yet are easy to care for and practical.
CHARLES A.
HOFFKINS APLD
Chuck
is an accredited landscape designer with 30 years of experience. Practiced
in all aspects of landscape design and project management, he specializes
in conservancy / lake property development and the associated permitting
process. A member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, his
focus is directed toward developing artistic yet functional spaces
sensitive to budget restrictions and requirements. Educating clients
is key in assuring the successful outcome of projects as well as lasting
relationships.
BRYAN CLARK
Bryan,
a Carroll College graduate, has been in the landscape industry since 1993.
As an award-winning landscape designer, Bryan specializes in residential
projects focusing primarily on hardscape elements with a discerning eye
for patios, outdoor entertainment and living areas. As someone who
spends a great deal of time outdoors, he takes his cue from nature -
blending natural elements into the most contemporary designs.
LAURA SPENCER
After graduating from
UW-Madison’s Landscape Architecture program in 2003, Laura spent two years
in Japan teaching English before
returning to her home-state to pursue a career in landscape design. She
joined Hawks design team in the spring of 2006, bringing a marked
enthusiasm for creating spaces that foster communion with nature. She
believes that “everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in
and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to the body and soul
alike.” (John Muir)
JOSEPH KRESL
ASLA
Joe, the
owner of The Hawks Nursery Company, has been a practicing Landscape
Architect since 1975. After
graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1977,
he has won numerous awards for his imaginative and functional designs.
A registered Landscape Architect and a member of the American
Society of Landscape Architects, Joe is knowledgeable in all areas of
residential and commercial design and installation.
